Important Information About Lessons

Please note the following:

• Jumping lessons on school horses ponies are not offered at this time. Riders wishing to jump in lessons must be in a full or care lease, or have their own horse or pony.

• All riders taking lessons on a Pond-A-Luce-A school horse or pony are required to take at least one hour-long private riding lesson if they are new to Pond-A-Luce-A Stables. NO EXCEPTIONS! This is to ensure the safety of the horse and rider before continuing on to half hour private lessons.

• All lessons need to be paid for in at the time they occur. 24-hour notice is required for all cancelled lessons. If a lesson is cancelled the same day it is scheduled, a cancellation fee of $20 will be assessed.

• The Pond-A-Luce-A lesson string currently consists of large and small ponies but no full size horses. For the safety and health of our ponies all students riding school ponies provided by Pond-A-Luce-A Stables must meet our weight and height limits to ensure safety of both horse and rider. We currently have a maximum rider weight of 135 lbs and maximum height of 5 ft 6 inches. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
